Job Description

We are currently looking for a Senior Building Surveyor to fill a permanent opening with a Chartered Building Surveyors in central London.\n\nInterested candidates must have a range of surveying experience but primarily have experience within insurance work, reinstating residential and commercial buildings. You will be expected to travel to projects throughout London and the Home Counties. \n\nDuties of the Senior Building Surveyor:\n\nInspect and provide advice on the design, construction, maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of all types of buildings and sites.\nConduct inspections, including measured surveys, defect diagnosis, and associated investigations.\nAssess the condition of existing buildings, identify and analyse defects, and propose repair solutions.\nPrepare reports, specifications, and drawings for the repair, refurbishment, demolition, and reconstruction of various buildings.\nTender projects and conduct post-tender analysis.\nOversee work according to recognized building contracts and current technical standards.\nWork independently as a project lead, demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of professional consultancy services.\nUnderstand and apply relevant legislation, including health and safety, party wall matters, building regulations, and planning laws.\nActively promote the company's services to secure projects and foster business growth.

\n\nRequirements of the Senior Building Surveyor:\n\nMembership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyor (My client may consider your application if you are at an advanced APC stage.)\nAt least 3 years' postgraduate experience with provable technical delivery experience\nSignificant exposure to, and good working relations with, private and public-sector clients\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills \n\nOn offer for the Senior Building Surveyor:\n\nThe starting salary for this position ranges from £65,000 to £75,000 depending on experience.\nBenefits include bonus of typically 14-22%\nElectric/hybrid car or car allowance\nProfessional membership fees paid\nPrivate medical insurance\nFlexible working from home \n\nWhat happens next:\n\nOn receipt of your application our dedicated Surveying & Project Management recruiter, Rees Allan, will contact you to discuss this opportunity in full detail.
