Join a leading main contractor and play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, winning bid submissions across a diverse project portfolio. This is a full-time, office-based position suited to a Bid Writer who thrives in a fast-paced preconstruction environment and enjoys shaping compelling, client-focused content.
The Opportunity You'll be embedded within a collaborative preconstruction team, working closely with technical, operational and commercial stakeholders. This role offers real ownership - translating complex project information into clear, persuasive submissions that directly influence success rates.
Key Responsibilities
Produce high-quality tender submissions, PQQs, proposals and presentation materials Collaborate with internal teams to gather technical and commercial input Edit and refine content to ensure clarity, consistency and impact Maintain and enhance bid libraries, case studies and supporting collateral Manage multiple deadlines while ensuring accuracy and compliance Contribute to continuous improvement of bid processes and standardsWhat We're Looking For
3+ years' experience in bid writing within construction, infrastructure or the built environment Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills Strong stakeholder management and communication ability Experience working on public sector frameworks or Local Authority bids is advantageous Proficient in Microsoft Office; Adobe InDesign experience is a bonus Ability to challenge and extract key information from technical teams Degree-qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant field is desirableWhy Apply?
