BID Manager – Main Contractor (Tier 1 / Tier 2)\nLocation: East Midlands\nSalary: Competitive + Package\nRecruiting on behalf of a leading Main Contractor\n\nAre you an experienced Pre-Construction / BID professional with a proven track record of leading successful tender submissions for Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractors? Our client—a highly respected main contractor with a strong project pipeline across the Midlands—is looking to appoint a BID Manager to strengthen its Pre-Construction function.\n\n The Opportunity\n\nYou will take full responsibility for managing the bid process from initial opportunity through to contract award. This includes oversight of Stage 1 bids and guiding the team through Stage 2 PCSA development, ensuring high-quality outputs and win strategies that secure new work.\n\nWorking alongside Pre-Construction, Estimating, Planning, and Delivery teams, you’ll play a key role in shaping successful submissions and delivering commercially sound, compelling proposals.\n\n Key Responsibilities\n\n * \n\n Lead and manage the full bid lifecycle across Stages 1 & 2\n\n * \n\n Coordinate multidisciplinary BID teams to produce high-quality, winning submissions\n\n * \n\n Develop bid strategies, programme inputs, and client-focused solutions\n\n * \n\n Drive PCSA development and manage information flow throughout Stage 2\n\n * \n\n Ensure compliance, governance, and quality assurance throughout all submissions\n\n * \n\n Build strong internal relationships and contribute to continuous improvement in bid processes\n\n We’re Looking For\n\nYou will ideally come from a Tier 1 or Tier 2 contracting background and have held one of the following roles:\n\n * \n\n Pre-Construction Manager / Lead\n\n * \n\n Senior BID Manager\n\n * \n\n BID Manager\n\nYou must be experienced in leading pre-construction and bid teams, managing complex tenders, and coordinating the end-to-end bid process through both Stage 1 bid wins and Stage 2 PCSAs.\n\nStrong communication, excellent organisation, and the ability to work under pressure to deadlines are essential.\n\n Why Apply?\n\n * \n\n Work with a major contractor known for quality, innovation, and staff development\n\n * \n\n Join a high-performing pre-construction team with a strong pipeline of work\n\n * \n\n Competitive salary + benefits package\n\n * \n\n Real opportunity to shape winning bids and influence future project success
