What you'll be doing: * Lead the design and integration of avionic systems to meet customer needs and certification standards. * Translate concepts into detailed, compliant designs aligned with OEM Type Certificates. * Manage all avionic activities within a multi-disciplinary environment, ensuring timely delivery. * Capture and interpret customer requirements, providing guidance to optimise design and production. * Apply Systems Engineering practices, tools, and methods throughout the project lifecycle. * Support risk management, testing, and certification processes, including ground and flight testing. * Liaise with customers, suppliers, and production teams to ensure seamless project execution. * Maintain technical competency and stay updated with latest technology developments.
What you'll bring: * A strong aviation background specialising in avionics Solid knowledge of aircraft systems, software safety analysis, and certification standards (FAR/CS 27 & 29, EASA/CAA Part-21J). * Proficiency in AutoCAD and other electrical/harness design tools. * Experience with design lifecycle management and configuration control. * An engineering degree or equivalent, with ongoing professional accreditation. * Excellent communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and collaborate effectively. * Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment. * Eligibility for SC security clearance and the right to work in the UK.
