Senior Authorised Person – Data Centre Project – London – ASAP start – Day rate, outside IR35 – Monday to Friday


We are supporting a leading engineering contractor delivering critical infrastructure for a major data centre client. They are looking to appoint an experienced Energy Marshal to join a live project in London, with a clear pathway onto a follow on scheme. You will act as the senior HV authority on site, responsible for control of energy, switching operations, and safe energisation of a complex substation feeding a large scale data centre.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead HV safety and act as the authorised person for control of energy
  • Plan and execute switching operations and energisation activities
  • Oversee safe systems of work and ensure compliance with site procedures
  • Coordinate with client teams, utility providers, and internal delivery teams
  • Manage shutdowns and power distribution into the data centre
  • Support ongoing site operations during final project phases


Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Authorised Person
  • Strong background working on data centre or similar critical infrastructure projects
  • Experience with 66kV systems and downstream distribution
  • GIS experience essential
  • Ideally 132kV authorised (or working towards)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to operate in high-pressure environments


Contract details:

  • 12 month contract, outside IR35
  • Monday – Friday
  • ASAP start
  • Long term pipeline of work with a major data centre client
  • Opportunity to transition onto a 132kV project
