Location: East England

We are seeking an experienced High Voltage Senior Authorised Person (SAP) to support HV/LV electrical engineering projects, including substation construction, network upgrades, and planned outages. You will play a critical role in ensuring safe and efficient operations in line with Distribution Safety Rules.


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute HV switching schedules using PowerOn and other DNO systems
  • Safely isolate and earth high-voltage apparatus
  • Issue Permits to Work, Sanctions for Test, and Limitations of Access
  • Develop and implement safety documentation and method statements
  • Attend client meetings and support the resolution of operational issues
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to project planning activities
  • Ensure full compliance with safety standards, company policies, and HSE legislation


What You’ll Bring

  • SAP authorisation at 11kV, 33kV, or 132kV on a UK DNO network
  • Experience in substation construction, HV commissioning, or network maintenance
  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, safety regulations, and outage planning
  • HNC or Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Full UK driving licence, with flexibility to travel across East Anglia and surrounding regions
