What You’ll Do We are looking for a Senior Accounting Manager to join our Finance team. This position will report to our Accounting and Consolidation Director and will be responsible for assisting in the reporting and regulatory processes for the whole organisation. Responsibilities
Key stakeholder in the SAP finance transformation & non‑finance initiatives. Interact and work collaboratively with other functional business departments to achieve company goals and management control. Responsible for the Financial Reporting of the OneWeb Consolidated results:
Completion of cyclical financial statements and year‑end audit for UK entities. Thorough understanding of the international financial statement year‑end processes, improving processes to expedite reporting in line with Group. Keep up to date with technical changes, accounting standard updates and apply them to the business, accounting records and statutory financials.
Maintain a focus on strong internal controls in line with Group Reporting processes to ensure consistent compliance with best practice. Drive and manage process improvement in key areas (Revenue and billing, inventories, Fixed assets and accounts payable). Review balance sheet reconciliations and verify accounting is in line with current IFRS accounting standards. This includes hands‑on involvement to instruct on data load and cleansing, securing the quality of solid accounting data. Ensure that all other declarative works are being adequately managed and delivered on time by the team (ONS, etc.). Work to strengthen the local team’s core skills and develop core accounting competencies. Liaise with other Global Finance teams on monthly processing and accounting issues. Cover ad hoc analysis and studies when required.
What You’ll Need
To be qualified ACCA, ACA or CIMA. A deep understanding of local and international accounting principles (e.g., UK GAAP, IFRS) and regulatory requirements. 5+ years of experience in a Big 4 Public accounting or auditing firm. Strong knowledge and experience of SAP ERP S4 Hana is a plus. Use of excel models and proven ability to manipulate for reporting purposes. Technical Reporting experience and leading year end accounting, audit schedules and notes. Experience of a first‑class control environment. The ability to design, implement, and optimise financial reporting processes and internal controls. Effective communication skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely express ideas both verbally and in writing, including communication of accounting policies and procedures to corporate team members. Absolute discretion and confidentiality regarding sensitive information. Ability to take initiative to identify, prioritise and implement all elements required for the team to fulfil responsibilities in accordance with core strategic goals. Strong problem‑solving skills, including ability to effectively address any issue in collaboration with others as appropriate; ability to proactively identify and prevent potential problems. Ability to work well under pressure and effectively handle multiple, concurrent and shifting demands as well as appropriately prioritise responsibilities. Must deliver following tight timelines and deadlines. Ability to coordinate between various corporate functional groups.
