Senior Accountant – About The Role

As an Accounts Senior, you will take ownership of a varied client portfolio and play a key role in the delivery of high quality accounts work. You will work closely with senior members of the firm while also supporting and reviewing the work of junior staff. Responsibilities will include:

* Managing a portfolio of owner managed businesses and limited companies

* Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts under FRS102

* Preparing year end working papers and reconciliations

* Reviewing junior work, providing feedback, and supporting their development

* Acting as a main point of contact for clients on day-to-day matters

* Working closely with Directors and Partners to ensure deadlines and standards are met

* Getting involved in ad hoc work and process improvements where appropriate

The successful Senior Accountant will have:

* ACA or ACCA qualification. Candidates qualified by experience will also be considered

* Solid UK practice experience in an accounts focused role

* Strong working knowledge of FRS102

* Experience reviewing work and supporting junior team members

* Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines

* Confident communication skills and a professional approach with clients

* A practical, solutions focused mindset
