Salary: £35000 to £45,000 (pro rata, depending on experience) + Benefits

As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team and take ownership of a client portfolio.
The Role
This is a key position within the firm, ideal for someone who enjoys both technical work and client interaction.
You will be responsible for managing your own client portfolio, ensuring high-quality service delivery, and supporting junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of clients across various sectors - Prepare and review:
- Statutory accounts (FRS 102 / FRS 105)
- Management accounts
- Corporation tax returns
- VAT returns
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, providing proactive advice - Support and review work of junior staff - Ensure compliance with HMRC and Companies House deadlines - Identify opportunities for additional services (tax planning, advisory, etc.) - Assist with onboarding new clients and improving internal processes
Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in an accountancy practice - ACCA qualified, part-qualified, or equivalent (or qualified by experience) - Strong technical knowledge of UK accounting and tax regulations - Experience managing a client portfolio independently - Proficient in cloud accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks, Sage) - Excellent communication and client management skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team
