Senior Account Handler

Salary - £45,000

The position is with a market-leading brokerage, joining a fast-growing Transportation team. You’ll support multiple Account Executives across a specialist portfolio covering haulage, motor fleet, passenger transport, courier, and cargo risks. The team is expanding rapidly, offering excellent long-term career progression into Account Executive or leadership roles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support a team of Account Executives (approx. 14 currently)
• Manage an inherited portfolio of around 30 clients (1–8 policies each)
• Handle premiums ranging from £20,000 to £400,000 GWP (avg. £50,000–£150,000)
• Broking via manual presentations
• Opportunity to attend or shadow client meetings
• Work closely with junior handlers for administrative support

Required experience:

• 3–5 years’ commercial insurance experience
• Experience handling premiums of £10,000+
• Exposure to or interest in transportation risks (motor fleet, haulage, goods in transit, cargo, liability, contractors, etc.)
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ambitious and keen to develop within a growing team
