We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Primary Teacher to join a supportive and forward-thinking school in Widnes. This role is ideal for a passionate educator with strong experience or interest in SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) and SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs.
The Role
You will be responsible for delivering engaging and inclusive lessons to primary-aged pupils, many of whom may present with additional needs. The successful candidate will play a key role in creating a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment where every child can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs
Support pupils with SEND and SEMH, adapting approaches to meet a range of abilities
Implement effective behaviour management strategies consistently
Use de-escalation techniques to support pupils in managing emotions and behaviour
Work collaboratively with support staff, SENCO, and external agencies
Foster positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience working with pupils with SEND and/or SEMH needs
Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, consistent approach
Proven ability to use de-escalation techniques effectively
High levels of patience, empathy, and resilience
A commitment to inclusive education and pupil wellbeing
