Daily Rate: £250 – £300 per day (dependent on experience)
About the Role
A welcoming and supportive primary school in Solihull is seeking an experienced and dedicated Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) to join their team on a part-time basis (3 days per week) starting as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate SEN professional who is committed to ensuring every child receives the support they need to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the provision for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Develop, implement, and review SEN support plans and EHCP provisions.
Work closely with teachers, support staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure effective support for pupils.
Monitor and track the progress of pupils with SEND, ensuring appropriate interventions are in place.
Provide guidance and support to staff on SEND best practices.
Ensure the school meets statutory SEND requirements and maintains accurate documentation.Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
National Award for SEN Coordination (SENCo qualification) – essential.
Previous experience working as a SENCo in a primary school setting.
Strong knowledge of SEND legislation and the EHCP process.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
A genuine passion for inclusive education and supporting pupils with additional needs.What the School Offers
