Aspire People are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team and support students with complex needs and autism.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and personal development of children with complex needs and autism. You will work closely with the classroom teacher and other Teaching Assistants to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment. We have a number of vacancies in both primary and secondary schools to start April 2026
Key Responsibilities * Assist in the planning and delivery of individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs. * Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, both in and out of the classroom. * Implement strategies to support students with autism and other complex needs, ensuring their safety and well-being. * Foster positive relationships with students, helping to build their confidence and independence. * Monitor and record student progress, reporting to teachers and parents as needed. * Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other staff to ensure a cohesive approach to student care. * Support students with personal care, if required. * Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
