SANZA Teaching Agency is delighted to be supporting a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Islington in their search for a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team for the 2025/26 academic year.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience supporting children with special educational needs and the skills to help pupils with mixed abilities thrive both academically and socially. The right candidate will have strong behaviour management skills and a nurturing, patient approach to working with children who need additional support.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND across the primary age range

Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons

Help manage behaviour positively and consistently to create a safe, supportive learning environment

Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents to support each child's progress

Encourage independence, confidence, and a love of learning in every pupil

The ideal candidate will have:

Previous experience supporting children with special educational needs (essential)
