Supply Heroes are currently recruiting for welcoming and supportive school in the Winson Green area for a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026 through to July 2027, with the potential to become a permanent member of staff.

This is an excellent opportunity for a strong and committed candidate who is passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and making a meaningful difference to their education and development.

The Role

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:

* Provide 1:1 support to pupils with additional needs

* Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities

* Support pupils with their academic, social, and emotional development

* Help manage behaviour in line with the school’s policies

* Provide personal care support where required

* Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCOs, and other professionals

* Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment

The Ideal Candidate Will:

* Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning, Childcare, or a similar relevant qualification

* Have experience working with children with SEND (school or care setting)

* Be confident supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis

* Be comfortable providing personal care if required

* Have strong communication and behaviour management skills

* Be reliable, patient, and committed to supporting children’s progress

* Be able to commit to the full academic year (September 2026 – July 2027)
