£95 – £110 per day (depending on experience and responsibilities)

We are currently recruiting for a unique and forward-thinking SEND provision based in the Barnsley (S75) area. This provision forms part of a wider network of purpose-built academies across the UK, focused on supporting young people through innovative and engaging approaches to learning—particularly within digital and creative media.

The setting offers a range of tailored support services, including 1:1 alternative provision, SEND and mainstream after-school clubs, virtual learning, and holiday programmes. Their mission is to create inclusive, supportive environments where every learner can thrive.

The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, and other learning differences. You will play a key role in helping students access learning, build confidence, and develop both academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND ‍
• Assist in delivering engaging, differentiated learning activities ✏️
• Support students’ emotional regulation and social development
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff and external professionals
• Help create a positive, inclusive learning environment

What We’re Looking For

• Experience working with SEND pupils is desirable, but not essential
• A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs ❤️
• Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills ️
• Willingness to learn and develop professionally

Requirements ✅

• An enhanced DBS (on the update system)
• A strong understanding of safeguarding and a Level 1 Safeguarding certificate (or willingness to obtain one) ️
• Two recent professional teaching references
