James Ray Recruitment is seeking experienced and compassionate SEN Teachers for SEN and SEMH schools across the Wirral. Full-time and part-time roles are available, with immediate starts for the right candidates. The Role You will plan and deliver high-quality lessons tailored to children with additional needs, including ASD, SEMH, ADHD, and learning difficulties. You’ll work with students 1:1 or in small groups, adapting teaching strategies to meet individual learning styles. You may also support pupils with personal care and wellbeing, ensuring their safety, dignity, and emotional support throughout the day. The Ideal Candidate * Qualified teacher with experience in SEN or SEMH settings * Calm, patient, and resilient, with strong behaviour management skills * Confident teaching 1:1 and small groups, fostering engagement and progress * Able to adapt lessons to meet individual learning needs * Willing to support pupils’ personal care where required * Additional training such as Makaton, Moving & Handling, PEG feeding, or specialist ASD/SEMH knowledge is desirable Why Work With James Ray Recruitment?
