SEN Teaching Assistant – Long-Term Role Location: Tamworth Role Type: Long-term / Ongoing Start Date: ASAP / Next term

We are currently recruiting for a strong and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a secondary school in the Tamworth area. This is a long-term opportunity for the right candidate and would suit someone who is confident supporting students with additional needs in a secondary setting.

The role:

Supporting students with Special Educational Needs on a 1:1 and small-group basis

*

Working closely with the SENCO and teaching staff to implement support strategies

*

Managing behaviour positively and promoting engagement and progress

*

Supporting students both in and out of the classroom

The ideal candidate will:

*

Be a qualified Teaching Assistant (or hold relevant SEN qualifications/training)

*

Have proven experience supporting SEN students, ideally in a secondary school

*

Be confident, resilient, and proactive in managing a range of needs

*

Have strong communication skills and a genuine passion for SEN support
