SEND Learning Support Assistant

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a several specialist SEND schools in Leeds that provide a supportive and inclusive environment for pupils with a range of additional needs. The schools promotes a nurturing ethos, focusing on building confidence, independence and positive relationships for all learners. The schools are looking to take on a SEND Teaching Assistant on a part time basis with an immediate start. The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will be supporting students with additional needs such as ASD and SEMH, working closely with the class teacher to deliver tailored support and manage behaviour effectively.

The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND, including ASD or SEMH
• A relevant qualification or willingness to learn on the job
• Strong behaviour management skills
• A patient and resilient attitude
• Excellent communication skills
• A proactive and adaptable approach
