Milk Education are working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Washington who are looking to appoint a 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant to support a child in Lower Key Stage 2 on a full-time basis.

The role will involve providing one-to-one support for a child with additional learning needs, helping them to access the curriculum and thrive. The school are seeking a caring, patient and proactive individual who can build strong relationships and provide consistency and encouragement throughout the school day.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored 1:1 support to a child in Lower KS2 with SEND needs
• Assist with learning activities, social interaction, and emotional regulation
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement support strategies
• Encourage independence and confidence in learning
• Contribute to maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment

The Ideal Candidate:

• Has previous experience supporting children with SEND (Autism, ADHD, SEMH or similar needs)
• Demonstrates patience, empathy and excellent communication skills
• Can adapt to different learning styles and provide individualised support
• Is committed to making a positive difference in children’s lives
