The Role We are recruiting 1 Functional Skills SEN Tutor to deliver high-quality support in: Functional Skills English and/or Maths
Structured, supportive learning tailored to individual needs
Schedule: Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays
5 hours teaching per day + 1 hour unpaid lunch break
Location: Shirebrook Library
This is a consistent, structured role ideal for an experienced educator who is confident supporting SEN learners in a small-group or targeted setting. Essential Requirements Minimum 1 year of relevant UK experience
Experience working with SEN learners
Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service
Strong understanding of Functional Skills delivery
QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) desirable What Were Looking For We need a tutor who: Demonstrates patience and emotional intelligence
Can adapt learning strategies to meet diverse needs
Builds strong, trusting relationships with learners
Maintains high standards while providing structured support
