Each summer, we prepare for the busy school term by coordinating bespoke transport arrangements for over 1,000 pupils, adapting to their unique needs. As the school year begins, the role becomes more operational, focusing on daily logistics and immediate problem-solving. Day-to-day of the role: Prepare and update individualised transport contracts based on pupil needs. Tender transport requirements with private operators and manage communications. Handle daily phone calls regarding route changes, delays, or no-shows. Update systems and spreadsheets to reflect real-time changes. Process invoices and reconcile payments at month-end. Prioritise and manage workload in a dynamic, reactive environment. Maintain clear communication with operators to ensure smooth service delivery.
