Role Responsibilities:
• Provide 1:1 academic and communication support to a Year 2 student with significant learning delays and speech and language needs.
• Work alongside the class teacher and SENCo to deliver and adapt individualised learning plans (EHCP).
• Use strategies and resources to develop communication, focus and confidence in learning tasks.
• Encourage independence, engagement, and positive self-esteem.
• Monitor and report progress effectively to ensure targeted support is delivered.
Requirements
• Experience working with children with SEN, particularly in a primary or KS1 setting.
• Understanding of EHCPs and strategies for supporting speech and language development.
• Patience, empathy, and a nurturing, calm approach.
• Ability to work closely with a team and follow direction from senior staff.
