SEN Teaching Assistant – KS2 (1:1 Behaviour Support) Primary School | Chingford

We are seeking a dedicated and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to join our primary school in Chingford, providing 1:1 support for a pupil in Key Stage 2 with challenging behaviour.
This role is ideal for someone with experience supporting children who require consistent behaviour support and a calm, structured approach to learning.
The Role
Provide 1:1 support for a KS2 pupil with challenging behaviour
Support the child to engage with learning and manage behaviour positively
Implement behaviour strategies and individual support plans set by the SENCo
Work closely with the class teacher and SEN team to ensure consistency
Promote emotional regulation, independence, and positive relationships
Help maintain a safe and supportive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate
Has experience working 1:1 with children displaying challenging behaviour
Is calm, patient, and confident in managing behaviour
Understands and can apply positive behaviour management strategies
Is reliable, proactive, and able to build strong relationships
Has experience in a primary school or SEN setting (desirable)
