Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) - Coalville
Location: Coalville, Leicestershire Salary: £95-£105 per day (depending on experience) Hours: Monday to Friday, Full-time Contract Type: Temporary (with potential for permanent placement)
Aspire People is excited to be working alongside a welcoming school in Coalville to find a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity to support children aged 0-16 years with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN) and make a real difference in their educational journey.
What You'll Be Doing:
Providing 1:1 and small group support for children with a variety of SEN, including but not limited to Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and other learning difficulties.
Supporting students both inside the classroom and outside during break times, physical activities, and school trips.
Helping to deliver individualised learning plans and adapting teaching strategies to meet students' needs.
Encouraging students to develop independence, self-confidence, and social skills.
Working alongside the class teacher and SENCo to track progress, implement interventions, and provide ongoing support.
Assisting with behavioural management and promoting a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
The Ideal Candidate:
Experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable, but we also welcome candidates with a genuine interest in this field.
A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting children with a range of needs.
Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
A proactive, flexible mindset, able to adapt to the individual needs of students and the classroom environment.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to maintain a positive, encouraging atmosphere in the classroom.
