SEN Teaching Assistant - Erdington
Bright Star Talent are currently recruiting on behalf of a friendly and inclusive primary school in Erdington, Birmingham, who are seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team full-time.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and wants to play a key role in helping pupils build confidence, independence, and a love for learning. The school has a strong emphasis on pastoral care and provides a nurturing environment where every child is supported to reach their full potential.
You’ll be working closely with class teachers and the SENCO to provide tailored support, both on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, ensuring pupils are fully engaged and supported throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide dedicated support to pupils with special educational needs
* Adapt learning activities to suit individual abilities and learning styles
* Assist with the delivery of personalised learning plans
* Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
* Support pupils both inside and outside of the classroom
About You:
* Previous experience supporting children with SEN is highly desirable
* Calm, patient, and empathetic in your approach
* Able to build trust and positive relationships with pupils
* A team player who is willing to get involved in all aspects of school life
* Passionate about making a difference in children’s education
