This is an ongoing, full-time position starting in May 2026, providing vital stability and support for children who need it most.

The Role

You will be working within Key Stage 1 (KS1), supporting several children with a range of needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, and challenging behaviour. This role requires someone who can build strong rapport quickly and remain a steady presence in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities

Behavioural Support: Implementing firm but fair boundaries and using de-escalation strategies to manage challenging behaviour effectively. Individualised Care: Supporting pupils with ADHD and Autism to stay engaged with tasks through creative and sensory-based adaptations. Inclusive Learning: Helping children access the KS1 curriculum at their own pace, ensuring they feel confident and included. Progress Tracking: Working closely with the SENCO to monitor development and feedback on EHCP goals.
