The Role – SEN Teaching Assistant
You will provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs, helping them access the curriculum and develop confidence in their learning. Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO, you’ll implement tailored strategies, support emotional regulation, and contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Role Requirements – Ideal Candidate Will:
* Have experience supporting children with SEN in a primary school setting
* Demonstrate patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach
* Be confident supporting pupils with a range of needs (ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech & language)
* Have strong communication and behaviour management skills
* Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals
* Hold a valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)
* Be available to work full-time from the specified start date
