SEN Teaching Assistant

About the Role You will be supporting children with a wide range of additional needs, including:
SLCN – Speech, Language and Communication Needs
ASD – Autistic Spectrum Disorder
MSI – Multi-Sensory Impairment
PD – Physical Disability
MLD – Moderate Learning Difficulty
SLD – Severe Learning Difficulty
PMLD – Profound and Multiple Learning DifficultyThe successful candidate will be fully immersed in school life, acting as a positive role model and supporting pupils to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups
Confidently delivering and supporting planned activities
Promoting positive behaviour, independence, and engagement
Working collaboratively with teachers and the wider school team
Providing consistent, nurturing support tailored to individual needsEssential Requirements
Minimum Level 2 qualification in Childcare or a Teaching Assistant qualification
Hands-on experience supporting children with additional needs
UK-based experience working with children (essential)
Ability to provide a minimum of two references covering the past two years, commenting on your interaction with children
Overseas qualifications will not be considered unless officially converted to a UK qualificationSafeguarding & Compliance
Candidates will be invited to interview during the first two weeks of January
Compliance and safeguarding checks will be completed as part of the process
