We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a warm and welcoming primary school in Sutton Coldfield. This is a full time position starting in May 2026, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

The Role

* Provide one to one and small group support for pupils with a variety of SEN needs

* Support teachers in delivering engaging, accessible, and differentiated lessons

* Adapt learning materials and strategies to meet individual academic and behavioural needs

* Encourage independence, confidence, and active participation in learning

* Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals to provide consistent, high quality support

The Ideal Candidate

* Graduates or soon-to-be graduates (all degree subjects welcome)

* Experience working with children or young people with SEN is beneficial but not essential (full training will be provided)

* Patient, resilient, and empathetic, with a genuine interest in inclusive education

* A proactive team player with strong communication skills and a willingness to develop professionally

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position is previous experience working in a school setting.
