SEN Teaching Assistant - Role Overview

Work closely with children in KS1 and KS2, offering one-to-one and small group support. Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) for students with SEN. Support class teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons. Encourage confidence, independence, and social development in children. Collaborate with the SENCO and teaching staff to ensure effective learning support.

SEN Teaching Assistant - Requirements

Experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant in a primary school (preferred). Understanding of SEN strategies, including autism, ADHD, and speech & language needs. Strong communication and teamwork skills. A patient, positive, and proactive approach to supporting children. A valid DBS check or willingness to apply for one.
