Ad Hoc SEN Teaching Assistants

We are currently recruiting enthusiastic and reliable SEN Teaching Assistants to support a specialist school in the Preston area. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting children and young people with special educational needs and are looking for flexible or full-time work.

The role involves supporting pupils with a range of additional needs in a structured and supportive school environment. Staff will work closely with teachers and other professionals to help students engage with learning and develop their independence.

Key responsibilities:

Supporting pupils with special educational needs including autism, communication needs, and learning difficulties
Assisting the class teacher with classroom activities and lesson delivery
Providing one-to-one or small group support
Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement with learning
Supporting pupils with personal development, social skills and independence
Helping to create a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment
We are looking for candidates who:

Have experience working with children or young people with SEN, in schools, care or support settings
Are patient, calm and adaptable
Can build positive relationships with pupils and staff
Are reliable and able to work as part of a team
Are passionate about supporting young people to reach their potential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
