SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Islington, London Salary: £1,800 - £2,400 per month (depending on experience) Contract: Full-time

About the Role

Veritas Education is working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Islington to recruit a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant.

This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) on a 1:1 or small group basis, helping them access learning and reach their full potential.

The school has a strong focus on inclusion, with a supportive SEN team and a nurturing environment.

The Ideal SEN Teaching Assistant Will Have:

Experience working with children with SEN (e.g. ASD, ADHD, speech & language needs) A patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach Strong communication and teamwork skills A genuine passion for supporting children's development Experience in a UK school setting (desirable but not essential)

Main Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 or small group support for pupils with SEN Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management Help implement EHCP targets and support strategies Support pupils' social, emotional, and academic development Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
