SEN Teaching Assistant – 1:1 Support (ADHD)
Barking & Dagenham | Full Time, Temporary | Term Time Only Hours: 8:15am – 3:30pm | Start Date: 26 January 2026
Teach Now is working with a warm, inclusive primary school in Barking & Dagenham to recruit a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil with ADHD. Key responsibilities include:
• Providing consistent 1:1 support to a pupil with ADHD
• Using positive behaviour strategies to support focus and emotional regulation
• Applying Team Teach techniques to manage challenging behaviour safely
• Supporting learning through tailored strategies and SEN plans
• Assisting with personal care where required, ensuring dignity and wellbeing
• Monitoring progress and contributing to review meetings and reports
We are looking for someone who:
• Has experience supporting children with ADHD or challenging behaviour
• Is Team Teach trained (essential) or willing to refresh training
• Is patient, resilient and adaptable
• Works effectively with teachers, parents and the SEN team
