We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a specialist primary setting on the outskirts of Winchester. About the SettingThe school is a specialist provision for primary-aged pupils with a wide range of complex special educational needs, including physical disabilities, learning difficulties and medical needs. Daily routines are structured yet flexible, ensuring that each child’s medical, physical and emotional needs are met in a safe and supportive environment. Role OverviewYou will be supporting primary-aged pupils with a range of complex needs, which may include physical disabilities, sensory impairments, communication difficulties and medical requirements. Some pupils may require support with mobility, personal care or the use of specialist equipment. This role involves both educational support and elements of care, requiring a patient, attentive and empathetic approach. You will play a key role in helping pupils access learning, communicate effectively and develop independence at their own pace. Experience with healthcare or support work is highly valuable, as many pupils require consistent and attentive care throughout the school day. Full training will be provided to ensure you feel confident in meeting individual needs.
