Sen Teaching Assistant

We are looking for dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join us as full-time Primary and Secondary Teaching Assistants across Wigan, with roles starting in April 2026.
As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting students — particularly those with Special Educational Needs (SEN) — helping them grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Whether you have previous SEN experience or a passion for supporting young people, this is an incredible opportunity to make a meaningful difference.
Key Responsibilities
Provide focused 1:1 support and lead small group interventions
Assist with planning and delivering tailored, engaging lessons
Support students’ academic, emotional, and social development
Maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviour
We’re Looking For Candidates Who:
Are passionate about helping young people succeed, especially those with SEN
Demonstrate empathy, patience, and resilience
Have strong communication and teamwork skills
Are proactive, adaptable, and eager to learn
Live in or can easily commute to Wigan and nearby areas

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
