Teaching Assistant – Specialist Primary Setting (Winchester)

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a specialist primary school near Winchester (Shawford). We welcome applicants from a wide range of relevant backgrounds- including SEN, support work, care, healthcare and childcare- who are looking to make a difference in an educational setting.

About the Setting This specialist provision supports primary-aged pupils with complex needs, including physical disabilities, Autism,  learning difficulties and medical conditions. The school offers a highly adapted, inclusive environment focused on personalised learning, communication, independence and wellbeing.

Many pupils have medical needs and may require personal care support as part of their daily routine. Staff work closely as a team to ensure every child is supported safely and holistically.

Role Overview You will support pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them access learning, develop independence and communicate effectively. The role combines educational support with elements of care, including mobility and, where required, personal care.

Full training is provided, and experience in care or support roles is highly valued.
