SEN Teaching Assistant (Primary School)

Location: Keighley Start Date: 5th January 2026 End Date: 20th February 2026 Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs in a primary school in Keighley.

The role involves working closely with children who require extra support to access learning, both in and out of the classroom, and helping to create a safe, structured, and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs

*

Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities

*

Support pupils with emotional, behavioural, and social development

*

Help manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies

*

Support personal care where required

*

Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed at all times

Essential Requirements – PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

⚠️ Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is REQUIRED

You MUST already hold an Enhanced DBS

*

The DBS MUST be registered on the Update Service

*

Applicants without this will NOT be considered

*

A DBS cannot be applied for through this role

This is a strict requirement due to the school setting.
