SEN Teaching Assistant - Primary SEN School (Bolton)

Location: Bolton
Start Date: After Easter
Contract: Full-time / Term-time only

Are you an experienced and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role in a specialist setting? We are seeking a dedicated individual to join a supportive primary SEN school in Bolton, starting after the Easter break.

The Role:
You will support children with a range of special educational needs, helping them to access learning in a safe, structured, and nurturing environment. Working closely with teachers and other professionals, you will play a key role in supporting pupils' academic, social, and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN
Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
Support pupils with communication, behaviour, and sensory needs
Help to implement individual education plans (IEPs)
Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
Support pupils with personal care where requiredEssential Requirements:

Previous experience supporting children with SEN in a school environment (essential)
A strong understanding of a range of special educational needs (e.g. ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs)
Calm, patient, and nurturing approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of childrenDesirable:

Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification
