SEN Teaching Assistant – Full-Time, One-to-One Support
Location: Bushey Daily Rate: £90–£110 (based on experience) Start Date: ASAP

A caring and inclusive school in Bushey is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to start as soon as possible, providing one-to-one support for a student with autism. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with a student, helping them navigate their learning and social development in a supportive and nurturing environment.
Responsibilities
Provide one-to-one support to a pupil with autism, ensuring they have the necessary support for both academic and social development.
Assist with personalised learning plans, working closely with the pupil to support their individual needs and goals.
Adapt classroom materials and resources to make them accessible and engaging for the student.
Foster positive behaviour, social skills, and emotional wellbeing through supportive and tailored strategies.
Collaborate with teaching staff, the SENCO, and external professionals to ensure the student’s needs are met consistently.
Help maintain a calm and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Track the student’s progress and contribute to regular assessments and reviews.
What We’re Looking For
Previous experience supporting children with SEN, particularly autism, is highly desirable.
A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to working with children.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
A genuine commitment to helping children achieve their personal best.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
Any SEN-specific qualifications or training would be a bonus, though not essential.
