SEN Teaching Assistant Age Range: Year 1 child Location: Blackheath, South East London (excellent transport links)Start Date: Mon 13 April - July 2026Contract: Part Time, Long-term - 9am - 3pm with occasionally extra hours available in their Nursery provision Salary: £90-112.90 per day (pro-rota), increasing after 12 weeks About the Role: SANZA Teaching Agency is looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a one to one basis in a welcoming primary school in Blackheath. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with young learners with special educational needs and is committed to providing tailored support to help them thrive. SEN Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 support to a child in Year 1, alongside 4 other children and their 1:1 supports in a small resource area dedicated to help those children thrive Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO implement individual education plans (IEPs) Help deliver structured and sensory-based activities to engage and support the learning of students with ASD. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports the children's emotional, social, and academic development. Monitor student progress and communicate with staff and parents regarding their development. SEN Teaching Assistant Requirements: Previous experience working with children with additional needs Good understanding of SEN and a positive attitude Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills. xehkeey A proactive and flexible approach to supporting individual student needs.
