SEN Teaching Assistant

A secondary school in the South of Manchester is looking to recruit an SEN teaching assistant. This is a requirement for the Autumn term with the successful SEN specialist starting in September. The successful SEN teaching assistant will be assisting within the classroom, working with students that require support on an academic level or with those students who are of lower ability than their peers. Any TAs who are experienced in supporting young people with special educational needs such as Autism, Moderate Learning Difficulties or ADHD are encouraged to apply as below.
The SEN teaching assistant will benefit from the support of the school as well as Teaching Personnel. There are opportunities to complete professional development courses through our online academy and a highly supportive SEN department at this secondary school. Reporting to the Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO), the successful SEN TA will be working within a team of support staff with their own timetable to work through and a list of students who have been identified as requiring specific support.
As a successful and confident SEN TA, you should have relevant experience in supporting either in a secondary school setting or with students in an educational environment.
