The Role

The school is seeking a compassionate and reliable SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs, ensuring they can access the curriculum and thrive in school.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 or small-group support for pupils with SEND

Assist in implementing individual learning plans and interventions

Adapt classroom activities and resources to meet pupil needs

Encourage pupil independence, confidence, and positive behaviour

Monitor and report pupil progress to the class teacher / SENDCo

Support behaviour management in line with school values

Prepare differentiated resources and assist with classroom organisation

Contribute to a safe, calm, and inclusive learning environment

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will:

Have experience supporting pupils with SEND (learning difficulties, SEMH needs, autism, speech and language difficulties, etc.)

Be patient, empathetic, and adaptable

Communicate effectively with children, staff, and parents

Demonstrate strong behaviour management strategies

Be organised, proactive, and collaborative

Hold an enhanced DBS (or be willing to obtain one)

Ideally hold a relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 TA, CACHE)
