SEN Specialist Teaching Assistant - PMLD & Complex Needs

Wirral £90 - £100 per day Full-time & Part-time Available

We are currently recruiting for SEN Specialist Teaching Assistants to support pupils with PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties) and complex needs in a specialist SEN setting.

This role involves supporting pupils with a range of needs including autism, complex medical needs, physical disabilities, sensory needs and communication difficulties. Some pupils require personal care, mobility support and 1:1 support throughout the school day.

This is a highly rewarding role and would suit candidates with experience in:

The Role

Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups Assisting with personal care Supporting pupils with mobility and physical needs Supporting communication and sensory activities Working closely with teachers and therapists Helping create a safe, supportive learning environment

Requirements

Experience supporting children or adults with SEN, PMLD or complex needs Patient, calm and caring nature Team Teach or moving & handling training desirable (not essential) Comfortable supporting with personal care desireable (not essential) DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)
