About the Role:
We are seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with complex and profound needs in a specialist school setting. Many of the children you will work with require communication support and sensory-based learning. Examples of the needs you may support include:
Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
Sensory impairments (visual and hearing)
Non-verbal communication, including PECS, Makaton, AAC, and sensory cues
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers, therapists, and care staff to help pupils engage with learning through sensory exploration, routine, and personalised support, ensuring each child feels safe, valued, and understood.

Pay: £89-£100 per day
Hours: Full-time, 8:30am-3:15pm
Start Date: ASAP

DBS Requirements: Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
We are looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant who:
Has experience supporting children or adults with PMLD, SLD, or complex needs (in education, care, health, or support settings)
Demonstrates a calm, nurturing, and empathetic approach
Is confident with personal care and supporting physical needs
Has a strong commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education
Holds SEN qualifications or previous school-based experience (desirable but not essential)
