Primary School SEN TA Annual Salary: £150 - £150 per day Location: Plumstead, London Job Type: Full-time We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Primary School SEN TA (Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant) to join our supportive team in a mainstream school located in Plumstead. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting children with diverse educational needs to achieve their full potential. Day-to-day of the role: Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs, under the direction of the classroom teacher. Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students requiring additional support. Facilitate small group sessions and one-on-one support to help students meet their educational goals. Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents to help adapt learning approaches as needed. Assist with the preparation of learning materials and the setup of the learning environment to meet the specific needs of students. Support the teacher in managing classroom behavior and promoting a positive learning environment. Required Skills & Qualifications: Experience working as a SEN Teaching Assistant or similar role within a primary school setting. Understanding of the challenges faced by students with special educational needs. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and other staff. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with diverse learning needs. Relevant qualifications in education or special educational needs support are preferred.
