SEN Teacher – Secondary

Location: West London (Hillingdon, Ealing, Hounslow, Harrow, and Brent)
Start Date: Immediately available
Contract: Full-time

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Secondary SEN Teacher to join a supportive SEN school in Hillingdon, Ealing, Hounslow, Harrow, and Brent. You will lead a small class of pupils with Autism and EHCPs, delivering tailored learning in a structured and nurturing environment. Key Responsibilities:

Inspire and deliver tailored lessons that unlock the potential of every SEN pupil
Champion students’ academic, social, and emotional growth in a supportive environment
Implement, monitor, and refine EHCP targets to drive measurable progress
Create a positive, inclusive classroom where all learners thrive
Collaborate seamlessly with staff, families, and external specialists
Track, assess, and report on student progress with clarity and impact
Qualifications & Skills Required:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Specialist SEN experience or qualification (desirable)
Strong knowledge of the secondary curriculum and ability to adapt for diverse learners
Experience supporting students with ASD, speech/language difficulties, and other SEN
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage students, families, and staff
Creativity, patience, and resilience in a SEN classroom
Familiarity with assistive technologies, sensory strategies, and alternative communication methods (e.g., Makaton, PECs) is advantageous

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
