About the Role:

Are you passionate about making a difference to the lives of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Aspire People are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to join a thriving, inclusive specialist school in Stechford. The school caters to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Moderate Learning Disabilities (MLD), and Severe Learning Disabilities (SLD).

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and skilled teacher who is committed to providing high-quality education tailored to the unique needs of each child.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality, personalised teaching to students with ASD, MLD, and SLD

Develop and implement individualised learning plans to support each student's academic and personal development

Use a range of teaching strategies, including sensory, visual, and practical approaches, to meet the diverse needs of students

Work closely with a multidisciplinary team including teaching assistants, SENCOs, and external professionals

Promote a positive and supportive learning environment that fosters independence and growth

Assess and monitor students' progress and report on achievements and areas for development

Support students in their emotional, social, and behavioural development, creating a safe and nurturing classroom atmosphere

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

Experience working with students with SEN, particularly those with ASD, MLD, or SLD (desirable but not essential)

A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to teaching

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Ability to adapt teaching methods and materials to suit individual learning needs

An understanding of safeguarding and child protection protocols

A positive attitude and a commitment to making a lasting difference in the lives of students
