About the Role:
Pertemps Education is working in partnership with a supportive and well-resourced specialist setting in Greenwich, seeking a dedicated and resilient SEN Teacher to work with KS3–KS4 students. The pupils have Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, alongside high levels of anxiety, requiring a calm, structured and nurturing approach to learning.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to students with SEMH needs
Support students in managing anxiety and building emotional resilience
Create a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment
Implement behaviour strategies and de-escalation techniques effectively
Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and senior leadership
Monitor and track student progress, adapting approaches where necessaryThe Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience working with SEMH students and/or those with high anxiety levels
Strong behaviour management skills and a trauma-informed approach
Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learnersWhat We Offer:
