About the School

We are working with a warm, inclusive, and well-resourced SEN through school in Lewisham that supports students with a range of additional needs from primary years through to Post-16 pathways. The school prides itself on its nurturing ethos, excellent staff teamwork, and commitment to helping every learner achieve meaningful progress-academically, socially, and emotionally.

The Role

The school is seeking a qualified (QTS) or highly experienced SEN Teacher to join their Secondary and Post-16 team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about personalised learning, creative teaching approaches, and preparing young people with SEN for adulthood.

You will:

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for small groups
• Support learners with diverse needs including ASD, MLD, SEMH, and complex needs
• Work closely with therapists, support staff, and parents/carers
• Create a positive, structured, and supportive classroom environment
• Contribute to EHCP targets and individual learning plans
• Be part of a collaborative, caring staff team

What We're Looking For

• QTS is preferred but highly experienced unqualified SEN teachers will be considered
• Strong experience teaching Secondary or Post-16 learners
• A calm, resilient, and student-centred approach
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Passion for helping young people with SEN thrive
• Ability to commit long-term, with routes to permanent employment
